Last of the rain..
Ok, so it's been raining since last week.. I seem to get a little down with the rain. :( Last week, I had to meet up with some family to do a family portrait for my grandfathers birthday. It was pictures of the "great" grandkids.. 6 of them. Wow, that was fun.. LMAO. It was nice to see the cousins and kids.. Amazing how quickly they are all growing up. The kid had a lot of fun and was all smiles.. nice to see. This weekend was kinda nice for me. I haven't been feeling all that well lately, and the kid went fishing, so I had some time alone. It really was nice. Ok, with the rain, and gloomy weather, it wasn't SUPER nice.. but relaxing nonetheless. I guess I needed some "me" time and it worked. Watched a couple movies I hadn't seen yet... "Knocked up". THAT was hilarious... Then I watched "Dark Water".. pretty good.. I expected more, not sure why. And my personal favorite of the weekend, "Premonition" with Sandra Bullock. I love her movies.. Hope Floats is one of my favorites that she's done.. as is Practical Magic.. Anyway, Premonition.. Great Flick. Really Enjoyed it.
So I got to work this morning, and found out that a friend of mine that I worked with for about 4 years passed away yesterday. Heart problems. :( Makes me pretty sad. Not supposed to bury friends especially that are our age. Interesting these last like 2 weeks. First Brad Renfro dies.. Way too young.. with a young child. Then Heath Ledger, 28 years old, also with a young child. Whether accidental, on purpose, or whatever, sad... especially for the children. I can't imagine my life without the Kid in it.. Celebrity deaths... don't really effect me... But, there were two that really got to me. River Phoenix. THAT was very difficult for me. Not really sure why.. but it was hard. And more recently, John Ritter. I have no idea the appeal he had as an actor, but wow, his death really got to me too. Anyway, back to my friend. He had such a HUGE heart. He would help anyone that needed it.. He was a big teddy bear. I don't think I ever heard anyone say one bad thing about him. I believe a bunch of people (even that don't work together anymore) are gonna get together tonight to "celebrate" his life, and drink some beers... He liked doing that.. :D
Definitely makes you think about life and puts things into perspective. Too many times, it's been said "Life is too short".. No Shit. It really is. Obviously.
I've said it before, go home, hug your significant other, and your kids etc... you never know if you can do it tomorrow.

Coffee..
So, MANY people drink coffee.. I have never been one to drink it.. but I seem to have acquired the taste for it. There are so many different "flavors" or roasts not to mention how many different creamers, I mean this can become like a full blown science!! I don't think I care much for the foo foo coffee... but I like hazelnut. I was stopping at the gas station every morning to get a cup (ok, 20 oz) of coffee. Seems it cost me more to get off the freeway, stop, get coffee (spending money there) and get back on the freeway, you get the idea.. So I bought a coffee maker. The kind you can "program". :) Now, I'm ready for coffee.
So I went to Smart & Final, and saw they had this foo foo hazelnut cinnamon coffee... smelled FANTASTIC! (Damn shame they can't get coffee to TASTE how it smells! LOL) Anyway, I figured, this ought to be great. Ya. Not so much. Drinking it was fine... I mean, the going down part.. but then when you exhale, BLECH!~! It was Gross. Took that to work for everyone else.. :D So I got plain old coffee.. threw some hazelnut creamer and a little "splenda" (we stay away from sugar) and viola (or as people SAY it... wallah) Great Coffee. The kid tasted it, and even liked it... ha ha.
Just finished my 20oz coffee as I type this.... :( I want more..

WORK..
So this past weekend was busy busy... I had NO idea that a person has THIS many muscles or just this many places to HURT!! LOL The kid and I went to help some friends "Demo" their backyard. Got to use a cool "bobcat" (shown below) to tear shit up.. LOL It was a blast.. Ok, so the kid didn't do any of that, but she got to play with their kids all weekend.. We pretty much stayed there, too tired (ok, too many beers to drive too) to drive home.. so just got up early and got to work... I don't really have any grass or trees per se to be able to tear my shit up.. HA HA Alas, this, was a BLAST! Was gonna start working out again yesterday, but shit I could barely move my arms or legs... I had used a sledgehammer for quite a while to break up some concrete, and my back is KILLING ME!! Here are a couple pics of what we did.. :D Have a FANTASTIC day!!

Nothing new..
Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, nothing really new going on... hhmm.. sister had her 2nd kid. Another girl. Looks a lot like me with dark hair and dark eyes.. big contrast to her first one with blond hair blue eyes.. actually, kinda like the sister and myself.. Again, I have dark hair dark eyes, and she has light brownish hair and i think hazel eyes.. interesting..
Anyway, so the first month of the year is coming to a close and I have already served my jury duty for the year. Kinda nice how they do it now, where you just call in every night to see if they need you. No more taking the day off work, and driving to the courthouse blah blah blah... Very cool.. Weird tho.. I have not been contacted for jury duty for many many years.. yes, I am a registered voter.. and this year, they got me, after like 10 or more years. Anyway, done for the rest of the year.. kinda nice.
Had a falling out a while back with a girlfriend, not sure if I mentioned it... known her for a long time.. closer to sisters really. took a little time, maybe can call it a break, but things are back to normal again with us.. very cool.. I really missed her kids.. LOL Was going to go out riding this weekend, but a different friends' kids are sick and can't go. Might be a blessing really. I spent last weekend cleaning out my garage (again) and cleaning a bunch of tools that I seem to have inherited. Very long weekend. So this weekend, I believe I will take the kid and go BOWLING! Looking forward to that. We play that on the Nintendo Wii and have a blast. Actually the tennis one is hilarious. We both look like total Fools playing that game. Oh, and baseball, now THAT is a fun game. LOL Everyone should have a Wii. It should be a common household item that every family should have!
Alrighty, well, that is pretty much what is going on with me, so I hope everyones year is going well.. so far. ;)

Tattoos and Piercings..
Well, I finally went and got another tattoo.. so that makes 7. Damn they are addicting.. I REALLY REALLY like the latest one... well, no, I really like all of them.. ok, almost all. I really want to get one removed, or changed or something.. hhmm gotta think about that one. Anyway, the new one is pretty cool.. has some japanese kanji in it, for the kids birthday... Looks really cool.. I'm thinking about posting a picture of it on here.. Dunno yet.
Anyway.. I thought about posting another one that I have as well. I really like it too.. more japanese. I think the Japanese Katakana / Kanji looks so much cooler/nicer.. I'll decide later if I am going to post a picture.. :)
Not sure what is going on in my head.. but I also got a Tragus piercing... that little flap of your ear that you push on when you try to plug your ear.. seemed like a good idea at the time.. but I only did one. I think I need to go back and get the other one done as well.. I feel a little off "balance".. LOL

Steelers..
Oy. What a game. Ok, so the first half, I have no idea who was playing for them.. their parents maybe? What a terrible first half. I don't think Big Ben could have thrown any more DIRECTLY to the other team if he tried. Bah! So they showed up for the second half... MUCH BETTER. They actually played. You know.. I got MANY phone calls and text messages regarding that game... and most thought I would be very pissed off, but I'll tell ya.. it WAS A GOOD GAME (ok, after half time). But seriously.. rather than lose by like 3 touchdowns, we only lost by 2 points. Yes, a loss is a loss, and a Win is a win regardless. BUT, it was FUN to watch. I'm not upset they lost. First year coach Mike Tomlin took them to the playoffs. So I can't complain there. I mean, come on. it should have taken them a couple years to adjust etc... but they made it. Very cool. Can't wait to see what happens next year. GO STEELERS!!!
Hey.. I got a picture in here! LOL

New Year..
So.. 2007 is finally OVER. Really glad too.. :D So, I am hoping 2008 will bring much fortune, and happiness for me.. (and everyone else too!) Those of you following this "blog", are aware of all that happened last year... I am really hoping this year will be a bit more "quiet". Perhaps a little more relaxing.. I am hoping to sell my place, and move, but I do hope THAT will be the biggest event of the year.. :D No New Year resolutions for me this year.. I always break them anyway.. I just want to be a better, healthier person inside and out. Anyway.. Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and I hope the coming months are very prosperous for all..
